Ms. Castellon (“Ms. C.”) is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Writing. She grew up in Farmville, VA and graduated from Fuqua School. This will be her eighth year at LRES and third year of teaching first grade. She strives for every child in her classroom family to feel welcome and nurtured, while building meaningful connections through learning and fun. Aside from teaching, Ms. C. enjoys camping with her daughters and dogs, going to the beach, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Ms. Stanley is a graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  She grew up in Campbell County and graduated from Rustburg High School.  This is Ms. Stanley's first year teaching!  She strives to create a classroom where every child knows they are safe, loved, believed in, and that they can succeed.  In her free time, Ms. Stanley loves being outdoors, traveling, playing pickleball, getting coffee, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends.  

Ms. Buschmann is a graduate of Liberty University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She was born in Miami, Florida, but has lived over half of her life in Virginia. Ms. Buschmann will be entering her 23rd year of teaching. She has taught grades K through third. Ms. Buschmann strives to create a positive and safe classroom environment where students feel confident and are committed to learning. Her goal is to have every child know that they are valued, they can succeed, and she believes in them. Aside from teaching, she loves traveling, watching movies, going to amusement parks and waterparks, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Bell  graduated from Longwood University (formerly Longwood College), earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. I previously taught second grade in Lynchburg City. This year marks her 16th year in education—and her first year at Leesville Road Elementary School. Mrs. Bell is especially grateful to be teaching in the same school where her daughters, Caroline (9) and Nora (6), attend.  In her spare time, she enjoys baking, crocheting, shopping, and, most importantly, spending time with her husband, Steve, and their daughters. Mrs. Bell loves teaching and believes deeply in the power of education to shape lives and strengthen communities. She feels truly blessed each day to make a meaningful difference in her students’ lives.

Ms.  Doyle is a graduate from Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.  She taught for two years in Kentucky before joining the first grade team at Leesville Road Elementary School.  She believes that every child is capable of learning, and that a supportive and welcoming environment is an important part of their success.  When she is not teaching, Ms. Doyle enjoys crocheting, hiking, and baking.
