Meet the '26-'27 Team!
Mrs. Bowles
Mrs. Bowles is entering into her 5th year teaching 4th grade at LRES. She and her husband, Brian, have been married for 30 years and they have two sons, Hunter and Garrett. She graduated from VA Tech with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Bowles spends her free time with her family. Her favorite hobbies are running/working out, playing pickleball, and being outdoors. She is really excited for what this new year will bring!

Mr. Smith
Mr. Smith was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. His wife Kellie is a stay at home mom. He has four children Ciara (15), Brennan (10), Jason (4) and Nico (2). He has one younger brother who lives in Atlanta. Chris went to Holy Cross Regional Catholic School in Lynchburg from 1st to 12th grade. Then he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Bridgewater College. Chris has 14 years teaching experience; 8 years teaching 2nd and 4th grades at Lynchburg City Schools,1 year teaching 5th grade at Leesville Road Elementary, and 5 years teaching 4th grade at Leesville Road. He has two part time jobs: assistant coach for varsity girls basketball at Liberty High School and pool maintenance for Pool Foolin' in the summer. In his free time Chris enjoys exercising, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
Ms. Bobbey
Ms. Bobbey is thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at Leesville! She is a graduate of Liberty University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Previously, Ms. Bobbey taught fourth grade for six years at a school in North Carolina. She is excited to be moving from third grade and on to fourth grade, where she will continue to help students grow as learners. Ms. Bobbey grew up in White Oak, North Carolina—a small rural town just outside of Fayetteville. Fun fact: her hometown only has a gas station, restaurant, and Post Office! In her spare time, Ms. Bobbey can be found reading in a comfy chair with a hot cup of tea, hanging out with family or friends, or spending the day outside.
Mrs. Tinnell
Mrs. Tinnell is a graduate of Liberty University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. This is Mrs. Tinnell's 17th year of teaching. She began her teaching career at Rustburg Elementary and taught there for seven years. In 2016 she transferred to Leesville Road Elementary School. This will be her ninth year teaching 4th grade at LRES! She has teaching experience in first, fourth, and fifth grades. Mrs. Tinnell has been married to her husband, Jason, for 12 years and they have a beautiful eight year old named Hadley. She is their miracle from God! In her spare time, she enjoys watching college basketball (March Madness!), chalk lettering, doing hair up-dos for weddings and special occasions, and singing on the Blue Ridge Community Church worship team. Mrs. Tinnell also loves spending time with her family!
