Meet Our Team

Mrs. Taylor grew up in Connecticut. She graduated from LU with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2015. She previously taught PreK for 6.5 years in Lynchburg City Schools and is excited for her first year teaching at Leesville! Mrs. Taylor has been blessed with a wonderful husband of 8 years and 2 children of her own-Mason and Kinsley. In her spare time, Mrs. Taylor enjoys traveling with her friends and family and spending time outdoors. 

Mrs. Ferguson is a graduate of Carson Newman College with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and UVA with a M.A. degree in Administration and Supervision. She is from Lynchburg, VA, but was able to travel as a child as her father was in the military.  Mrs. Ferguson will be entering her 27th year of teaching. She has had the pleasure of teaching 1st through 7th grades. She believes that every student is unique and has their own strengths and interests. Her goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where all students feel safe and encouraged to express themselves and take risks in their learning. She strives to foster a love of learning by making lessons interactive, relevant, and enjoyable. When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, Julianna, Molly and Allison.
