English Language Learners

 

 

 

  Mrs. Alderson grew up on Long Island, New York and attended Bloomsburg University and the University of     Virginia. She holds a B.S. in Special Education, a Masters of Education with a Reading Specialist endorsement,   and an endorsement in English as a Second Language. Her teaching experience includes two years at the   Central Virginia Training Center, eighteen years as an elementary special education teacher, and six years as   an English Learner teacher with Campbell County Schools. She loves working with children and helping them   reach their potential. Outside of teaching, she loves to spend time with her family, read, garden, and bike on   the Blackwater Creek Trail.

  Mrs Burruss has been teaching for 31 years, and this will be her first year with ELL.  The majority of     her teaching experience comes from 20 years of Pre-K at YBES but, prior to that, she taught in third and 1st   grade in different counties.  She has a Master's degree in Curriculum and Development and is certified in   Administration and Supervision K-12.  She and her husband  love going to Buggs Island Lake on the     weekends to hang out with friends on the water.  She also loves animals and has  2 dogs, 1 cat and 2 horses.     Mrs. Burruss currently lives  in Gladys.
