What Do School Counselors Do?
Elementary school counselors support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of all students. Through individual counseling, small groups, classroom lessons, and school-wide initiatives, our school counselors help students build essential life skills, navigate challenges, and thrive in a safe, supportive learning environment. Partnering with teachers, parents, and the community, our school counselors play a vital role in fostering student success and well-being.
If a student is needing to visit Mrs. Goff or Mrs. Goodman, please fill out the Request to See a School Counselor form, and they will schedule an appointment as soon as they are able to.

Mrs. Goff has spent the last 23 years in Campbell County Schools, nine years as a classroom teacher and this is her fifteenth year as a school counselor. She is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and undergraduate degree in Human Development and Learning. She enjoys spending time with her beautifully blended family and traveling whenever time allows. Mrs. Goff and her husband have five children that keep them busy.

Mrs. Goodman is entering her 7th year as a school counselor and her 3rd year at Leesville Road Elementary School. She previously served as the school counselor at Elon Elementary in Amherst County. Mrs. Goodman spent half of her Undergraduate career at the University of Virginia and then felt called to move to Lynchburg. She earned both her BS in Psychology-Human Services and Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. She, her husband, their Boston terrier, and her six year old love to travel and keep busy. In Mrs. Goodman's free time, she enjoys reading, running, and anything involving sunshine.
