Speech & Language

Amy Nixon was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. She went to Roanoke College where she received her undergraduate degree in Education, and then she received her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Longwood University in 2012.

She is in her 14th year in Speech Pathology and her 12th  year at LRES. She is married to her husband Josh who is a land surveyor, and she has a daughter, Hayden, and a son, Cooper.

They also have their furry friend, Tuck, who is a chocolate lab and bloodhound mix. Amy enjoys running, coaching softball,  playing and watching sports, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
